Strayed Soldier - Environment design

Strayed Soldier - 4th year project - 2019
Strayed soldier is a narrative game project. It revolves around an army veteran in the 1950s, who suffers from a post-traumatic syndrome and is subject to all kinds of flashbacks from the war from which he tries to escape throughout the game. The frame is set in France in the countryside, showing the damage the war has done to the country.
The main character moves from right to left on a staight line. The scenery and the ambiance changes the whole way, reflecting the soldier's state of mind. From sadness to fear, to end on hope and a feeling of sweet relief when he finally arrives home.
On this project I worked as a character designer and concept artist. I mainly did the character design of the soldier, and the concept art on key moments of the game, when the emotion was at its peak.
